Building Contract Administration

My contract administration package is intended to assist you to plan your budget and timescale and give financial protection while taking the project through to completion. I will:

• Work with you to draw up detailed plans and specifications
• Draw up a contractor's tender list shortlisted from approved contractors
• Obtain tenders for the work
• Draw up a building contract to protect you during the process
• Hold regular site meetings with the contractor, deal with queries and monitor the quality and progress of the works
• Issue payment certificates when due

The building contract:

• Includes for monthly payments in arrears
• Allows for money to be retained pending completion
• Allows for further money to be retained after completion for a period when the contractor has responsibility for making good defects
• Includes damages clause for failing to complete on time
• Deals with insurance cover
• Includes a damages clause for late completion
